Beau's 1st Christmas

We have had such a big week! Christmas started at Mamaw Hansen's house last Sunday. Beau got his first presents, and he really liked the pretty wrapping paper the best! He got to meet his cousins, Rhett and Ashley, and play with Aunt Carolyn and his great-grandma. Aunt Carolyn gave him the cutest little 1st Christmas outfit with his name on it.

We went to Aunt Terri and Uncle Roger's house for Christmas Eve. Beau had fun playing with his very own remote control from Pawpaw and DeeDee and a frog toy for his car seat from cousins Andrew and Nathan. We were sad that Nathan was sick and didn't get to play. We spent the whole day playing and opening bunches of presents.

We spent the night on Christmas Eve at Gigi and Daddy D's lakehouse. Santa Claus found Beau with no problem. He has been such a good baby that Santa brought lots of fun things! Beau loved his singing cow so much that we got to hear his first laugh! It was so exciting!!! I think I was more excited on Christmas morning than anyone. Having a baby sure has livened things up for us! We must have been really boring folks before Beau. Santa must have thought Barkley was a really good dog this year, too. He got a new comfy bed with his name on it. Todd's glad that he doesn't have to haul stuff for Barkley and Beau back and forth to the lake now.

Gigi's family came to Hot Springs Christmas afternoon. There were lots of people for Beau to entertain, and he did not dissappoint. He got MORE presents, including his very own Harley Davidson gear (that gift was actually to Daddy D and Beau) from Nana and Polky. It made for a great photo opt!

Ready for Christmas!

Beau is getting ready for Christmas! He really likes all the lights on our Christmas tree. We can't wait for Santa to come! We hope he will bring lots of toys that make noise!

Christmas card pictures

Todd and I have never sent Christmas cards before. I know that is terrible, but we didn't have anyone to show off, so we never took the time to get it together. Well, of course, we have to do better this year. GiGi and I had so much fun attempting to get a good picture of Beau and Barkley together. Barkley is such a sweet dog. He didn't mind that we were rolling Beau all over him. We never managed to get the perfect shot, but here is a preview.

Found my feet!

I think this picture is so funny. Not only are we trying to fit our chunky little man in a bathroom sink and showing off all his cute little rolls, but he found his foot! He really loves to kick and splash in the bathtub now that he has discovered his feet make the water splash.

Reading

I have been trying to read to Beau since he was born, but he rarely wants to sit still and look at a book. He is an active little boy! However, GiGi read the Thanksgiving book that Nana sent and Beau loved it. He was so attentive! Maybe there is hope...

Thanksgiving in DeWitt

We went to Dede and Papaw's on Friday after Thanksgiving. Aunt Terri, Uncle Roger, Andrew, and Nathan were there, too. I put on a show for everyone with big smiles and lots of coos.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving week in Hot Springs at GiGi and Daddy D's lakehouse. Aunt Whit was there and Daddy and Barkley came up Wednesday for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun!

Halloween 2008

Here is Beau's 1st Halloween costume. He didn't much like the helmet on his head. We basically put the costume on, shot a few pics, and took it off. Watch out for us next year, though! In the next picture, he was 6 weeks old and all smiles. His mom thinks that smile is the sweetest thing ever. He'll be using it to get what he wants for years to come! :)

Well, I am finally working on Beau's blog. With the help of Aunt Whit, it has been set up for weeks now, but I never posted anything. So, I have a lot of catching up to do! Beau is growing so fast. He is 11 weeks old today and already weighs about 15 lbs.! He is so much fun...smiling and "talking" to us all the time now. I'll catch you up on the next several posts.
