A Very Merry Christmas

We truly had a very Merry Christmas this year with Beau. He was so excited about every gift and seeing all our family. He was so much fun! He didn't want Santa to come, since Santa is a big, scary looking guy, so we didn't make a big deal of it Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas morning, all the toys were under the tree, and Beau started to think that Santa was a pretty good guy after all. He kept saying, "Look at all the toys! All the toys Santa Claus brought! Thank you, Santa Claus!"

Our first stop was Hansen family Christmas in White Hall.

That monkey is upside down!

Look at me, Mamaw!
Showing Mamaw Hansen videos on Mom's phone.
They were amazed at Beau's iPhone skills...impressive for a 2 year old.

Opening the 1st gift - Kung Fu Pets! I was skeptical of the hamster concept, but Beau loved it!

We spent Christmas Eve in Hot Springs.
Beau and Nee Nee made gingerbread cookies.

The finished product! Beau liked the gumdrop candy the best.

Santa came!

The BEAU train

Wow!!!

A microphone! ABC's was the song of choice.

Cars!

No problem tearing into gifts this year!

Papa's here with reindeer antlers! Silly papa!

I haven't missed a Christmas night with my Papa ever. Love him!

Barkley got a BIG bone! Between it and Christmas dinner leftovers, he was a happy dog!

Still wearing the cap backwards.

This camo truck with a 4-wheeler and trailer was a big hit! Thanks, Nana and Pokey! This was the 1st toy Beau picked up when we were finally home for a play day with all his new stuff.

Our last Christmas stop was in Little Rock for Barnes' family Christmas at Aunt T and Uncle Roger's house. Here's DeeDee helping Beau with his new piano.

Da and Beau testing out the racetrack. This was a very cool gift.
The big boys had as much fun with it as Beau!
Christmas is wrapped up and we are on to a fabulous new year! Looking forward to 2011!

Christmas Party with Santa

We took Beau to a Christmas party with Santa last week. Beau is not a big Santa fan. Santa brought gifts for all the kids at the party. He called each child's name, and they went to get their gift and sit on his lap. Beau told me that he wanted to stay in his high chair and be safe. Beau would not go get his gift alone and for sure would not sit on Santa's lap, but he did tell Santa thank you for the gift.

As the party was winding down, Santa came to talk to Beau. With a death grip on my arm, Beau told Santa that he wants an "airpane, helicaca (helicopter), and a truck." Santa asked about a tractor to which Beau replied, "That, too." Beau gave Santa a high five before he left. When we got home, Beau was very proud of himself. "Beau gave Santa high five!" was the first thing he said to me the next morning. So all in all, the party was a success, but Beau still doesn't want to Santa to come to his house!

Checking out Santa from his high chair where he can "be safe."

Family Pic...Beau is saying "cheese." All our posed pictures look like this now that he has learned to say cheese.

That's too close, Santa!

Trying to get a picture with Mama...but where did Santa go? Can't let him too far out of sight!

Fall Wrap Up

I'm behind on the blog again! Here's a catch up post:

Beau was a Razorback football player for Halloween. He LOVED his costume!

Grace came to play with Beau at the carnival. He liked playing all the games and won a treat at the cake walk on the first try.

Beau took Baylor for a spin in the big, red Jeep. They were so cute cruising around the yard.

Opening weekend of deer season sleepover - Beau didn't mind being the only boy one bit!

Trying to get the girl!
And if you are wondering about the outfits, the big girls dressed up the little kids.
Beau was a doctor.

Beau and Linley McCollum - isn't she a cutie?!

Pumpkin Patch

Beau and I went to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Beau had a big time! It was a beautiful day at Hardin Farms in Grady, AR. We were lucky that Whitney was home and got to come along. Here's a recap:

So many cute punkins!

Sliding down the hay with NeeNee

Looking for just the right pumpkin (really he just liked walking up and down the "hills")

Wow - heavy!

Look at my punkin, NeeNee!

Mama's perfect lil punkins

Check out the goat on the roof. They had walkways through the trees for the goats!

The chickens were funny! Beau liked all the birds the best. Anything that was hairy and bigger than him, he wasn't too fond of.

Sliding in the barn

Swinging on the "horsey"
Riding the tractor

Yes, he's about to jump!

Look at the baby punkins! He told me "Mama, I need this." He needs everything these days. Starting early!
