Pumpkin Patch

Beau and I went to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Beau had a big time! It was a beautiful day at Hardin Farms in Grady, AR. We were lucky that Whitney was home and got to come along. Here's a recap:

So many cute punkins!

Sliding down the hay with NeeNee

Looking for just the right pumpkin (really he just liked walking up and down the "hills")

Wow - heavy!

Look at my punkin, NeeNee!

Mama's perfect lil punkins

Check out the goat on the roof. They had walkways through the trees for the goats!

The chickens were funny! Beau liked all the birds the best. Anything that was hairy and bigger than him, he wasn't too fond of.

Sliding in the barn

Swinging on the "horsey"
Riding the tractor

Yes, he's about to jump!

Look at the baby punkins! He told me "Mama, I need this." He needs everything these days. Starting early!

1st Trip to the Zoo

Beau, GiGi, and I visited Whitney last weekend in Dallas and had so much fun. We took Beau to the Ft. Worth zoo, which is amazing. It was his 1st trip to the zoo, and he loved it. I was a little worried that he would be scared, but he wasn't at all. He soaked it all up.

Wow, look!! (or Yook, as Beau says)

Monkeys!

Gigi, Beau, and NeeNee checking out the elephants. There are 5 or 6 that live at the Ft. Worth zoo....impressive. We saw this one break apart a log and eat bugs out of it.

NeeNee, Beau, and Mama at the tiger den. Beau wasn't too keen on the white tiger that was putting its paw up against the glass. He was a little too close for comfort.

Per Beau, this antelope is a big buck deer. He says this followed by a very loud "BOOM!" Too much Outdoor Channel with Da! haha!

A big turtle was swimming in here.

Watching the flamingos. We spent a surprising amount of time here. Beau thought they were very entertaining.

Beau says to his Dad the week after the zoo trip, "Beau tell those ...mingos be nice!" They were fighting and it made an impression! It's funny what he remembers.

Lions: the most talked about animal following the trip. This lion got frustrated with his lioness and had a little huffing fit. Now instead of "roar," Beau says the lion goes "huff, huff, huff."

A real, live Razorback! This one didn't look extremely ferocious, but what do you expect at a Texas zoo? :)

We had such a fun day at the zoo! Thanks, NeeNee and GiGi, for going with us!

Haircut

Beau got his first professional haircut a couple of weeks after his birthday. I say professional because, as most of you know, Todd gave him his first haircut. (Or buzz cut I should say, 1 week before Christmas...yes, I'm still a little bitter.) So in rebellion or just for the love of his curls, I have put off cutting it again for 9 months. Ms. Terri gave him a trim, but we kept the curls. :)

In the chair, ready to go!

The 1st snip

I'm not real sure about this...

Almost finished.

A quick brush and we're ready to go! He did good!
